Bezoek vesting Heldsberg op 29 april
Op 29 april hebben we de vesting Heldsberg bezocht. De Zwitsers planden deze vesting in 1938 direct nadat Oostenrijk door het “Deutsche Reich” geannexeerd was. Het werd in de daarop volgende 2 jaar gebouwd. Het hoofdcommando van het Duitse leger had zoveel angst voor de slagkra
cht van de vesting, dat bij het aanvalsplan Tannenbaum deze plek aanbevolen werd te vermijden ! We werden heel competent geïnformeerd over dit stuk geschiedenis en voelden ons echt teruggezet in de tijd. Het museum is in een uitstekende toestand dankzij het werk van de vereniging “Festungsmuseum Heldsberg” !
